El Sueno De Tu Vida kicks off new season

Posted April 11th, 2010 in Uncategorized by steve

El Sueno De TuVida, the soccer scouting scheme that brings together Hispanic soccer players and representatives from Mexican and American professional soccer teams, kicked off its new season on April 10, in Houston, TX. El Sueno is the only scouting opportunity designed exclusively for Hispanic soccer players. Along with talent scouts from professional teams, El Sueno attracts college coaches looking for players who have soared under the club team radar. El Sueno is a partnership between Fox Sports en Espanol and Alianza de Futbol Hispano, an organization that aims to support amateur Hispanic soccer in the U.S.

In the last two years, 14 players identified through El Sueno have inked contracts with professional Mexican teams, and three players have received college scholarships.

This year El Sueno will hold tryouts in ten cities across the Untied States, culminating in a national all-star team that will face off against a professional squad from either MLS or the Mexican Primera league. That game will be broadcast on Fox Sports en Espanol in October.
